Waseem Akram, Pakistan


Wasim Akram was born on 3 June 1966. He is a former Pakistani cricketer. He was a genuine left arm fast bowler. On Sunday, 7 July, 2013, he confirmed media reports that he was remarrying an Australian born Shaniera Thompson. He first met with her in Melbourne in 2011. His wife Huma was died four years ago. According to sources, Akram, had proposed Ms. Thompson in Manchester on bended knees in a lounge room during Champions Trophy 2013. Ms. Thompson has converted to Islam. According to sources, former cricket legend’s children were happy for their father’s marriage decision.

Asad Rauf

Asad Rauf was born on 12 May 1956 in Lahore, Pakistan, was a first class cricketer and is now a member of the Emirates ICC Elite Umpire Panel. He became a first-class umpire in 1998. He has 39 Tests, 90 ODIs and 17 T20Is in his credit. Indian model Leena Kapoor recently filed a complaint against Pakistan cricket Umpire Asad Rauf in Mumbai in which she says that Asad was in a relationship and had promised to marry her. But Asad denied any relationship with her.

Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium

Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is the principal cricket stadium in Hyderabad, India and is the home ground of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). It is located in Uppal, an eastern suburb of the city. It has a capacity of 55,000 spectators.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium is a cricket stadium in Hyderabad, India. The Stadium was the home ground for the Hyderabad cricket team. It is the venue for many national and international sporting events, especially for football and cricket. The stadium was previously known as Fateh Maidan and was re-named in 1967 after Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's former Prime Minister. In 2005, the use of Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium for International cricket was discontinued when Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium built across town hosted a ODI Match between India and South Africa. The stadium is now hosting Indian Cricket League matches and is the home ground for the 2008 Edelweiss 20's Challenge winners Hyderabad Heroes. It has the capacity to seat around 25,000 people. The ground has flood light facility which was introduced in 1992 during the Hero Cup match between the West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Mohammad Hafeez

Mohammad Hafeez was born October 17, 1980 at Sargodha, Pakistan. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm slow bowler. Hafeez generally opens the batting and is also a skilful boundary fielder. After tidy performances against Bangladesh, he jumped to the number 2 position in the ODI Bowler rankings below fellow spinner, Saeed Ajmal who is Number 1 at present (Dec 2011).

Saeed Ajmal

Saeed Ajmal was born on 14 October 1977. He is a Pakistani cricketer. He is a right-arm off-spin bowler who also uses the Doosra to good effect. Ajmal made his One Day International debut for Pakistan in July 2008, and a year later played his first Test. At present (Dec, 2011) he is No 1 in Reliance ICC ODI Championship Bowling Rankings with 737 points.

Highest Individual Score

On 8 December 2011, Virender Sehwag hit maiden double century in ODI cricket, against West Indies, becoming the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to reach the landmark. His score remains the highest individual score in ODI cricket - 219 off 149 balls. He is the only player in world to score a double hundred in ODI and a triple hundred in Test Cricket.
